REGISTRATION

Registration will be available in the Victoria Golf Club Clubhouse from 11:00AM to 3:30PM on Monday.

All players must register. Players will be asked to fill out the gear form, to confirm their contact information, intention to play the National Championship, and better ball partner. Tee gifts and local rules will also be distributed. If you are not able to make it to registration, please email jerome@britishcolumbiagolf.org.

PRACTICE ROUND

Players should sign up for a Practice Round under “Tee Sheets”. Note that players must keep pace with the group in front of them.

YARDAGE, TEES & ROUTING

Maximum yardage is posted on the Tournament Website under “Player Documents”. All play will be from the British Columbia Golf Tee Markers. There is no separate tee for the Mid-Amateur division.

The normal members’ routing will be used for this Championship.

HOLE LOCATIONS & NOTICE TO PLAYERS

Hole locations and the Notice to Players will be distributed the night before each round and will be available on the website under “Player Documents”. Please ensure you are receiving emails from Golf Genius.

BETTER BALL

There is an optional Better Ball competition at this Championship. Players will provide their pairing at registration. Players who do not provide a pairing will not be paired up or appear on the Better Ball leaderboard.

PLAYOFFS

If needed, there will be playoffs for First place in the Amateur, Mid-Amateur, and Mid-Master Divisions. There will also be playoffs for the third interprovincial team spot in the Amateur and Mid-Amateur Divisions.

DRESS CODE

See Victoria Golf Club’s Dress Code here. Players are responsible for their caddies and guests’ adherence to the dress code. Note that hats are not allowed upstairs in the clubhouse.

POLICIES & CODE OF CONDUCT

Players should familiarize themselves with all Championships policies. The British Columbia Golf Player Code of Conduct, Parent and Spectator Code of Conduct, and Group Pace of Play Policy are in effect.

CARTS

Carts are permitted for players above the age of 25. BC Golf encourages all players to walk if possible. Players who chose to ride must pay cart fees daily and will be paired up with other riders. Should you choose to ride, you will not be eligible for the Women’s Amateur division.

CADDIES

Caddies are permitted. There is no pre-registration. Caddies will need to pick up a caddie bib from the first tee.

PRACTICE FACILITIES

Practice Facilities, including putting greens, short game area, and driving range will be available 60 minutes before play each day.

DRIVING RANGE

The Driving Range is limited to shots of 150 yards or less. If you hit a ball into the range while playing the 1st or 17th holes, ring the buzzer on either side of the range and ensure players have stopped hitting range balls. Players warming up on the driving range must stop hitting balls when they hear the buzzer and may only resume when the area is clear

PLAYER MEALS

Players will be given gift cards at registration to use at Victoria Golf Club’s clubhouse and 11th tee for the duration of the Championship.

PRIZES

The winner of each division will receive a keeper trophy and the top three will receive a gold, silver, or bronze medal. The top three players that will represent British Columbia at their respective National Championship in the Inter-Provincial Team competition will receive golf bags, uniforms, and team funding. Players may only receive one golf bag per season.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP QUOTAS

The Top 7 players and ties in the Women’s Amateur who are not already exempt will earn a spot to the 111th Canadian Women’s Amateur from July 21st to July 25th at Riverside Country Club in Rothesay, NB.

The top three BC players in the Women’s Mid-Amateur division and the Mid-Master Champion will earn a spot to the Canadian Women’s Mid-Amateur from August 5th to August 8th at Club de golf Lachute in Lachute, GC.

Players will be asked their intentions to qualify for their respective National Championships at registration.

RESTAURANT HOURS

Breakfast will be available from 8:00AM onwards in the restaurant. Prior to 8:00AM, muffins and coffee will be available in the Pro Shop.

SCORE POSTING

BC Golf will post all scores to the Golf Canada Score Centre after the Championship.
