ENTRY DATES 

Registration Opens: Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 12:00 PM

Final Registration Deadline:  Sunday, June 15, 2025 at 11:00 PM

Note: If the field is under-subscribed after the entry deadline, British Columbia Golf may extend the entry deadline.    

 

ELIGIBILITY

Players must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Satisfy the Entry Requirements
  2. Membership in a National Golf Association, authorized to adopt, manage and maintain the World Handicap System (WHS) within their jurisdiction
  3. have Amateur Status in accordance with the current Rules of Amateur Status as published by R&A Rules Limited and the USGA.
  4. Agreement with British Columbia Golf’s Championship Policies.

 

All applications are subject to approval or rejection by British Columbia Golf at any time before or after the start of play. 

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Maximum field size of 75 players.

 

The field will be filled on April 24 by Handicap Index®. The maximum index to apply is 18.0.

 

After that date, all new entries will be reviewed and accepted into the championship based on lowest Handicap Index®. Positions for players representing their Zones and with a WAGR ranking will be held for an additional 2 weeks. Out of Province players may apply. 

 

24 spots will be held for Women’s Mid-Amateur aged players up until one month before the event.

 

Players aged 25 and up as of August 6, 2025 will be eligible to compete in the Women’s Amateur and Mid-Amateur.

 

Players competing in the Women’s Amateur may not use a cart, with the exception of those who have submitted a Transportation Request Form and received written approval from British Columbia Golf. 

 

Players competing in the Women's Mid-Amateur may use a cart, however, they will not be eligible to compete in the Women's Amateur.

 

Age-eligible participants will be asked to indicate their preference in competing in the Women's Amateur, Mid-Amateur or both during registration and confirm their choice during player check-in.

 

Both the Women’s Amateur and Mid-Amateur will be contested over 54 holes with no cut. All players will play from the same tee. Target yardage is 5700-6000 yards.

 

ENTRY FEE & APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The entry fee is $325 + applicable taxes.  Please note that British Columbia Golf only accepts credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) as a method of payment.

 

To apply, visit https://bcgolfchampionships.golfgenius.com/ click on the event you would like to participate in, listed under “Provincial Championships”.  Remember to submit the application well in advance of the registration deadline.  Late, incomplete, or inaccurate applications will not be accepted and are not the responsibility of British Columbia Golf. 

 

Players must register as a “Golf Canada member.”  You will then be instructed to log-in to Golf Genius, using your Golf Canada membership credentials. If you need assistance accessing your Golf Canada membership, please call 1-800-263-0009 x399 or email members@golfcanada.ca. 

 

International players must contact the Tournament Director to register.  

 

After registering, players will receive an email noting their application is PENDING.  Payment will not be processed until a player is ACCEPTED.  Once a player is accepted into a championship and payment has been processed, entry fees are non-refundable.   

 

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT 

All divisions will be contested over 54 holes with no cut. All players will play from the same tee. Target yardage is available under "Tournament Information" 2-3 weeks before the Championship. 

 

PLAY-OFFS 

The Committee will determine the order of playoffs. There will be playoffs for the following positions:

Women's Amateur - First Place and Third Place

Women's Mid-Amateur - First Place and Third Place

Women's Mid-Master - First Place

Any players tied for other positions will remain tied. Please keep this in mind when making travel arrangements on the final day. 

 

REFUND POLICY AND NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL

Entry fees will be fully refunded if the Tournament Director is notified of the player’s intention to withdraw before the early entry date (Jerome Goddard; jerome@britishcolumbiagolf.org). 

 

Once a player is accepted into the championship, the entry fee will be processed and they are expected to participate.  If a player wishes to withdraw prior to the start of the championship, please notify British Columbia Golf well in advance to ensure an alternate has a fair opportunity to participate.  Failure to comply may result in DISQUALIFICATION from future British Columbia Golf competitions.

*Once a player is accepted into a championship, they will receive an acceptance email. If a player wishes to withdraw, they must do so within 72 hours of acceptance, otherwise they are subject to incur a $25 admin fee.
**Entry fees are non-refundable after May 8 without a doctor’s note or medical certificate.  All refunds are subject to a $50 administrative fee after the early entry deadline
